Report: WR Coach Frisman Jackson fired by the Steelers
The wide receivers coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers has moved on.

Pittsburgh According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, the Pittsburgh Steelers are starting the process of replacing their offensive coaching staff, starting with wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson.

During his two seasons with the organization, Jackson has assisted in the development of wide receivers Diontae Johnson, George Pickens, and Calvin Austin. Now that Jackson is gone, the team will attempt to replace him this offseason. According to insiders, they have already scheduled an interview with Zach Azzani, the wide receivers coach of the New York Jets.

What more moves will be made to the ball’s offensive side is unknown. The Steelers may choose to hire running backs coach Eddie Faulkner and quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan as their next step in assembling Smith’s new staff. After the team fired Matt Canada, both served as the team’s acting offensive coordinators.

Pat Meyer, the offensive line coach, is anticipated to stay on the squad through 2024.

According to Dulac, the team’s only anticipated defensive staff change would be to replace assistant defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander.
