Breaking News: A Formal Star player For Packers Is Against The Packers compensatory draft picks in 2024 Due To……….

Packers to be awarded multiple extra picks in 2024 NFL Draft

Matt LaFleur’s team made the divisional round of the playoffs despite having the league’s youngest roster. That doesn’t happen often. Green Bay showed it’s closer to making a Super Bowl run than many thought.

Unlike most playoff teams, the Packers also have a lot of draft capital. Trading Aaron Rodgers and Rasul Douglas netted Green Bay additional picks in the second and third rounds this year.

But the bonus selections won’t stop there. More are on the way.

Packers could land three compensatory draft picks in 2024

The Packers already hold the 25th pick in the first round, two second-rounders, and two thirds. They could soon add three compensatory selections.

These picks are awarded based on players lost and gained via free agency the year prior. The Packers didn’t make many additions but lost Allen Lazard, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, and Robert Tonyan.

Over The Cap has projected which teams will be rewarded compensatory picks this year, and they have Green Bay netting three.

They have the Packers missing out on a compensatory pick for the loss of Tonyan.

And if any team knows how to make the best of Day 3 picks, it’s the Packers. Just last year, Green Bay struck gold in each of those rounds.

Fifth-rounder Dontayvion Wicks became a go-to target for Jordan Love, catching 39 passes for 581 yards and four touchdowns. Sixth-round choice Karl Brooks made four sacks. Seventh-rounder Carrington Valentine started 12 games and defended nine passes.

Holding additional draft picks also allows for more flexibility to move up and down the board in trades. The Packers could enter the 2024 NFL Draft with 11 draft picks, which puts them in a strong position.

Rebuild? The Green Bay Packers refused to use that word at any stage before or during the season, and they were right. Green Bay not only made the playoffs but eliminated the Dallas Cowboys and came close to taking down the San Francisco 49ers.

Last offseason was filled with unknowns. Aaron Rodgers’ uncertain future took us on a journey from needing time to darkness retreats to finally committing to playing for the New York Jets. But nobody knew what to expect from Jordan Love and the beginning of a new era in Green Bay.

Twelve months on, it’s a different story. The Packers’ young roster far exceeded any preseason expectations, proving why they are close to competing in the NFC.

Expectations have increased, but so has the excitement for the Packers this offseason. What can we expect in the months ahead?

7. Packers will draft a running back in opening three rounds

Aaron Jones rushed for over 100 yards in five straight games, including in road playoff matchups against the Cowboys and 49ers. He left no doubt that he’s still one of the league’s most explosive running backs. The Packers should bring him back.

But retaining Jones shouldn’t prevent them from adding another running back, especially if AJ Dillon departs in free agency. Green Bay needs to find a running back to complement Jones and potentially replace him in the future.

The Packers have the luxury of picking four times on Day 2 of the draft. It won’t be surprising if they use one of those selections on a top running back like Blake Corum, Trey Benson, or Jonathon Brooks.
