Bengals QB Joe Burrow Out for Season, Team Announces
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss the entire season due to a ruptured ligament, Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor has said.
Burrow underwent an MRI on Friday morning before the announcement. Burrow exited the Bengals’ game against the Ravens on Thursday night in the second quarter, seemingly hurt after finding running back Joe Mixon with a touchdown pass. Burrow was eliminated following the half.
Baltimore defeated Cincinnati, 34–20, with Jake Browning starting in Burrow’s place.

Taylor reported that the injury seemed to be a sprained wrist after the game. Talk turned to the quarterback’s wrist before Thursday night’s game.
Although Burrow did not appear on the injury report, he was seen leaving the team bus with a wrist brace before kickoff.
The NFL is looking into the team for not including Burrow on the injury report, according to a number of sites who broke the story on Friday morning. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals risk fines or losing draft rights if the league determines that they broke the team injury report policy.
The Bengals (5-5) will play the Steelers (6-3) at home on November 26.
