The football team at South Carolina appears to have failed in its attempt to turn 2024 four-star wide receiver Braylon Staley, despite a late effort for him.
Braylon Staley, a 2024 four-star wide receiver prospect from Palmetto State, received an offer from South Carolina’s football program after the program missed some opportunities to recruit him at the position and observed his early-season exploits.
As evidence that there was at least some interest shared by both parties, Stalley was seen wearing Carolina stuff at his very next high school game against the Strom Thurmond Rebels after receiving his offer from the Gamecocks.
But as the season went on, there never appeared to be any noticeable advancement that the general public could witness.
A visit to Staley and his family earlier this week by Gamecock wide receivers coach Justin Stepp created some attention on social media.
It seems like Braylon has reaffirmed his commitment to the volunteers despite the staff’s best attempts. On Friday afternoon, he made it known that he would sign a national letter of intent with Tennessee.
