Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
The healthy returns of Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald have boosted the Rams this season. Both should have an opportunity to exploit some weaknesses in Pittsburgh. Donald will be going up against a Steelers offensive line that has struggled to consistently run-block and pass-protect this season, holding back an offense that struggles to sustain drives and score points. Throughout the season, the Steelers have made it a habit to go three and out with bad drives before coming up with one or two huge plays that do just enough to win them the game.
With a 41-yard touchdown pass to George Pickens two weeks ago, they defeated Baltimore, and they have completed two of the three longest passing plays in the NFL this season.
While they have a highly paid and highly regarded defense, they have been very boom-or-bust for most of the season. In their wins, the Steelers have forced several turnovers (and even scored touchdowns) and created pressure with edge rushers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith to help swing games.
But when the turnovers have dried up, they have struggled to stop teams consistently. Stafford can still put up big numbers and take over a game, especially now that he has his top wide receiver (Cooper Kupp) back and a rising star in rookie Puka Nacua. Opposing offenses have been targeting cornerback Levi Wallace quite a bit this season, and the Rams would be wise to do the same.
Only two of the Rams’ six games have hit the over this season, while only one of the five Steelers’ games has hit the over.
