What can we expect from the Will Levis-led Titans?

Tennessee got its swagger back on Sunday versus Atlanta, as rookie quarterback Will Levis balled out in his NFL debut, throwing four touchdown passes. The Titans scored their most points (28) since 2021, snapping a two-game skid Both teams coughed the ball up once but Tennesee recorded six sacks and won the time of possession battle..The Titans score 18.9 points per game (23rd) and average 296.6 total yards (24th), including 180.7 passing yards (29th) and 115.9 rushing yards (13th).

They convert 33.7 percent of their third-down attempts (28th) and find the end zone on 36.3 percent of their trips to the red zone (30th).

The Tennessee defense gives up 20.0 points (13th) and 339.4 total yards (22nd) per game, including 232.0 passing yards (19th) and 107.

Is Pittsburgh prepared for a major role?

Pittsburgh lost its momentum on Sunday versus Jacksonville, as it was out-gained 377-261 and held to 3-for-12 on third down. The Steelers also lost starting QB Kenny Pickett (10-for-16 for 73 yards) to a rib injury, forcing backup Mitch Trubisky (15-for-27 for 138 yards, one TD, and two INTs) into action in the second half. All three of the Steelers’ losses this season have been double-digit defeats.Pittsburgh scores 16.1 points per game (29th) and averages 271.7 total yards (31st), including 192.0 passing yards (25th) and 79.7 rushing yards (28th). It converts 35.0 percent of its third downs (24th) and finds the end zone on 45.4 percent of its red zone drives (24th).

The Steelers give up 21.0 points (17th) and 382.6 total yards (30th), including 245.4 passing yards (24th) and 137.1 rushing yards (28th). They have 22 sacks and seven interceptions this season. Pitt’s opponents have converted 42.2 percent of their third-down attempts (23rd) and scored touchdowns on 50.0 percent of its red zone trips (12th).

The Steelers haven’t decided who will start at QB on Thursday, as Pickett is a game-time decision, but neither signal-caller played well in Sunday’s loss to the Jags. Either way, I’m steering clear of the Steelers, and with the spread at +2.5, I’m bullish on the value of the Titans ML at +130.

While it’s tough to project Levis’ second performance following his stellar NFL debut, I’m picking Tennessee to win because I believe its offense has more big-play potential with Derrick Henry and DeAndre Hopkins. The star veteran duo will carry the Titans’ offense to victory, outscoring the pathetic Pittsburgh offense with a balanced game plan.

The Titans’ offense is superior, and their defense is stout in the red zone, keeping their opponents out of the end zone in 65.4 percent of their red zone trips. Bet on the visitors to score a road win on TNF!
