Former Steelers RB Returns for Cardinals
Conner was placed on IR due to a knee injury he sustained in Week 5. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry before leaving, which was among the top five marks at the time of his injury. He also ran for 364 yards and three touchdowns.
The Cardinals are not discounting the possibility that Conner will return to the field when they play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10.
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said he hopes Conner is available “too,” referring to Kylar Murray making his way back to the lineup this week as well.
Since leaving the Steelers, Conner has become a staple for the Cardinals running game. In 2022, he rushed for 782 yards and seven touchdowns, which followed a 15-touchdown season for Arizona the year prior.
With Murray and, hopefully, Conner back in the lineup, they’ll look to begin turning their 1-7 season around.
