Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is returning for his senior season

Emeka Egbuka, a wide receiver for Ohio State, has decided to forgo the 2024 NFL draft in order to play his senior year. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to announce his choice to stay.

On the graphic announcing his choice, Egbuka stated, “I have grown and learned more than I imagined possible during my time thus far at Ohio State.” “I feel that the route He has already laid out has been evident over the last couple of weeks as I have continued to pray and seek the Lord for what was ahead.”

Over the previous two seasons, Egbuka has been among the most productive receivers in the nation, with 515 receiving yards this season and an astounding 1,151 yards as a sophomore in 2022.

He has accumulated 1,857 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns, and 124 receptions during his time at Ohio State (10 of which occurred in 2022).

During his outstanding sophomore year, Egbuka played alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Marvin Harrison Jr. in an offense under the direction of C.J. Stroud. In just 13 games, he produced six 100-yard games, including 125 yards and a touchdown against Michigan in the regular-season finale and 112 yards and a touchdown in a heartbreaking semifinal loss to Georgia.
