In the 119th edition of The Game, Michigan defeated Ohio State 30–24, giving the Wolverines their third straight victory in the rivalry.
With 25 seconds remaining in a back-and-forth second half, the Wolverines finally got the crucial stop when they intercepted Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord in their own end.
In the fourth quarter, Michigan, up three points, embarked on a strong drive that killed time and gave them a six-point advantage. After an Ohio State score trimmed the margin to three, Michigan grabbed the ball with 8:05 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Michigan offence, which culminated in a field goal after 13 plays and seven minutes, allowed the Buckeyes to reach the end zone in just 1:05.

After the victory, Corum declared on the pitch, “It means everything to me.” “My friends, we all returned to support one another. Today, we completed it. This is the reason we returned. games similar to these. When all the odds are against you and you feel like you can’t succeed, that’s The Big House. People are calling you derogatory names. Nevertheless, we persevere, stick together as a team, and win.”
With a 14-3 lead in the second quarter, the Wolverines appeared to be ready to blow Ohio State off the court.
Following a Will Johnson interception of McCord in the first quarter, Michigan took the lead when Corum converted a fourth-quarter one-yard touchdown run.
