‘I had to thank him’: David Johnson shares the one person who has been so helpful to him in Nottingham Forest

David Johnson has commented on the move of his son Brennan to Tottenham Hotspur from Nottingham Forest. This Monday, the former Forest employee appeared as a guest on Notts TV. David acknowledged that after the £47.5 million sale was completed, he congratulated one person at Forest.

Johnson, who is 47, claimed that he spoke with the business’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, and thanked him for his efforts with Brennan.

David also acknowledged that the owner had assisted in realizing his son’s dream of playing for his old team in the Premier League.

David Johnson on thanking Evangelos Marinakis

Johnson acknowledged in an interview earlier this week that Marinakis deserves a lot of praise for his efforts on behalf of Brennan and the club as a whole.

On the Saturday following the transaction, I spoke with the owner to express my gratitude for everything because it allowed my son to play for the football team representing his city.

He got his wish to represent the football team from his hometown in the Premier League.

It would not have happened without the owner’s investment and motivation, as well as the manager and his team.

My son fulfilled a lifelong dream by playing for his hometown team, and we wish the club luck as it moves forward while he pursues other interests.

Life without Johnson at Forest

Although it was disappointing to see such a gifted young player leave the City Ground this summer, the transaction was beneficial to all sides.

The money helped the Reds meet FFP requirements while also helping Spurs add a promising young player to their push for this season’s European football.

The Welshman will undoubtedly have a very good career in North London.
