Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Caleb Williams will be present at the NFL Draft
The NFL announced on Thursday that 13 players had accepted invitations to attend the draft in Detroit, including three quarterbacks: Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Caleb Williams.
The Chicago Bears are expected to choose USC’s Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, with the first overall choice when the draft begins on April 25, the first of three days (8 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC).
The Washington Commanders own picks No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, and are anticipated to be followed immediately by LSU’s Daniels, the Heisman Trophy winner from the previous season, and North Carolina’s Maye.
Receivers will also be well represented in Detroit, as Washington’s Rome Odunze and LSU teammates Malika Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. will join Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., the top-rated player at the position.
Also expected to attend are three Alabama players: offensive tackle JC Latham, cornerback Terren Arnold, and linebacker Dallas Turner. Ledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, UCLA linebacker Laiatu Latu, and Missouri defensive lineman Damien Robinson will also be there.
The first round of the NFL draft takes place on April 25 and is followed on April 26 by the second and third rounds. April 27 marks the conclusion of the draft with rounds four through seven.
