The Raiders have re-signed defensive tackles John Jenkins and Adam Butler.

After having a career year in 2023,Jenkins  is back with the Raiders for his second season. Jenkins, who started all 17 games, equaled his single-season career high in sacks (1.0), quarterback hits (two), and fumble recoveries (one), and set single-season career highs in tackles (61), tackles for loss (four), and passes defensed (four). In Week 15, Jenkins picked up a fumble against the Chargers and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown, marking his first touchdown of the season

 

After spending 11 seasons in the NFL with the Raiders (2023), Dolphins (2019, 2021–22), Bears (2017, 2020), Giants (2018), Seahawks (2016), and Saints (2013–16), the 6-3, 327-pound defensive tackle has now participated in 133 career games (47 starts). In the 2013 NFL Draft, Jenkins was selected by New Orleans in the third round (82nd overall). Since then, he has amassed 273 tackles (136 solo), 12 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 11 quarterback hits, 8 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries (one of which was returned for a touchdown).

After participating in all 17 games in 2023 and tallying 28 tackles (16 solo), eight tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, nine quarterback hits, four passes defensed, and one forced fumble, Butler is back with the Silver and Black for his eighth NFL season, his second with the Raiders. Prior to the 2023 campaign, Butler was first signed by the Raiders as a reserve/future signing.

With the Raiders (2023), Dolphins (2021–22), and Patriots (2017–20), the 6–5, 300-pound defensive tackle has now participated in 97 career games (13 starts), with a total of 141 tackles (79 solo), 30 tackles for loss, 22.0 sacks, 36 quarterback hits, 16 passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.
