Newcastle United squad continued their hard work on Tyneside ahead of this weekend’s Sela Cup! See video

With just a couple of days to go until their return to St. James’ Park, Eddie Howe led his Newcastle United players in training on Thursday as this weekend’s Sela Cup fast approaches.

The Magpies finish their warm-up for the 2023/24 campaign with the inaugural tournament, presented by VisitMalta, in which United will take on Fiorentina and Villarreal on Saturday, August 5th and Sunday, August 6th respectively, and tickets are on sale here.

It will be summer signings Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes’ first taste of action at their new home, with Howe expected to hand minutes to the majority of his squad over the two fixtures.

And the two recent recruits were both out on the grass ahead of the four-team face-off on Saturday and Sunday, along with youngsters Lewis Miley and Elliot Anderson, who both impressed at the Premier League Summer Series in America last month.

Club photographer Serena Taylor was there to capture the action for this nufc.co.uk gallery.
