Newcastle United are in negotiations to sign Southampton full-back:

According to a recent Sky Sports report, Newcastle United are in talks to sign Southampton full-back Tino Livramento this summer. The Magpies are reportedly looking to entice English talent to Tyneside during the summer transfer window.

Livramento can be a solid presence on the defensive third of the pitch when he is playing regularly on the field. He can make a few driving runs with the ball on the right wing and has got the eye to create some inviting chances for his teammates on the attacking end of the pitch.

The English talent is primarily a right-back but can also operate as a right-sided wide player if needed. However, there are some concerns over his recent injury record at Southampton.

Still, there is no denying that Livramento would enhance the quality of Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe’s match-day squad. He has what it takes to offer some good competition for Kieran Trippier at St. James’ Park in the coming seasons.

At 20, Livramento has got a bright future ahead of him which makes him an ideal target for the Magpies this summer. He might even help the Tyneside club compete across all fronts over the next few years. With all things considered, Howe would be wise to try everything in his power to snap the English starlet up in this ongoing transfer window.
