BRANKING NEWS :Newcastle manager Howe confirms serious Barnes injury.

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, acknowledges that Harvey Barnes won’t be available for the rest of the season.

In the first half of Sunday’s 8-0 victory against Newcastle United, the winger sustained a foot injury.

We anticipate that he will be away for around three months, Howe added. The good news is that no surgery was necessary, but his foot is currently in a boot. His toe has a wound below it. He must rest to allow his body to heal now that his recuperation has begun before we can build him back up.

Howe added the following about their schedule: It’s very different from previous year, when we were able to go week to week, practice hard, and really prepare fully for each game.

Right now, it’s challenging because we’re trying to prepare thoroughly in a considerably shorter amount of time. The players’ challenge is to rest up physically and psychologically before each game.

The load on those players who play every competition and in international football increases, and that’s where we’ve got to be smart sometimes by trying to give them a break at the right time, but that’s very difficult when they’re your best players and there’s huge pressure to get results consistently. I’d have to give that some thought.
