Spoelstra and his wife, Nikki Spoelstra, published a joint statement to the Miami Herald announcing their separation after seven years of marriage.
“We have made the painful yet amicable choice to jointly file to formally end our marriage,” Erik and Nikki Spoelstra said. “We are both grateful for our relationship and are totally dedicated to co-parenting our children and continuing to make them our shared priority. We appreciate everyone’s support as we go to the next step of our lives and thank you for respecting our family’s privacy.”

Erik Spoelstra married the former Miami Heat dancer in 2016. They have three children together.
This is Erik Spoelstra’s 16th season as the Heat’s head coach. His 1,205 wins are the most in team history.
They also said the decision was painful but amicable, and they jointly filed to formally break their marriage.
Erik Spoelstra, 53, is in his 16th season as the Heat’s head coach. Nikki, 36, is a former Miami Heat dancer and hosts a famous podcast, according to the Herald.
Erik and Nikki married in the summer of 2016 and have three children: five-year-old Santiago, three-year-old Dante, and one-year-old Ruby.
