Picture of the man that was arrested after Roy Keane ‘headbutted’ during Arsenal-Manchester United game has been reviewed

After the Sky Sports analyst at the Emirates Stadium was allegedly assaulted by a fan, police opened an inquiry.

After Roy Keane allegedly received a headbutt during Sunday’s Premier League game between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium, a 42-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of assault.

Following an alleged confrontation between a guy in the West Stand and Sky Sports commentator Keane as he made his way down to conduct his post-game media responsibilities by the side of the pitch following Arsenal’s dramatic 3-1 victory, the Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest after conducting an investigation.

Despite reportedly headbutting Keane, the individual did not seriously harm the former captain of Manchester United.

Social internet videos showed Micah Richards, a colleague at Sky Sports who works with Keane, tussling with a man in order to detain him.

After that, Keane was led down to the pitchside area where he carried on his show.

A 42-year-old male was detained on Monday, September 4, on suspicion of assault (ABH). The man has been brought into custody, according to the police.

Enquiries are still ongoing.
