According to Football Insider, there is a chance of a player revolt against Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
According to Football Insider, Ten Hag is losing his place in the Old Trafford dressing room as United deals with a crisis both on and off the field.
United’s start to the 2023-24 season has been catastrophic. They have won two and lost three of their first five games of the season.
In reality, they were fortunate to win both games against Wolves and Nottingham Forest, as a lot of contentious calls went against them.
Due to this, they are now occupying the 13th spot in the Premier League standings.
According to Football Insider, a number of Manchester United players are losing hope that their coach can make things better.
Only two of United’s games saw them have more possession than their opponents, raising concerns about Ten Hag’s management.
The former Ajax manager was expected to infuse Manchester with a forward-thinking, contemporary brand of football.
This hasn’t been the case since United has been fragmented and the promised Total Football hasn’t materialized.
But Ten Hag is also being questioned for how he has handled the club’s numerous off-field issues.
The Man Utd leadership handled the crises concerning Antony and Mason Greenwood poorly, and Ten Hag received no credit for these controversies.
Ten Hag is incredibly anxious for Wednesday’s match against Manchester United to go well.
But since United will be traveling to Germany to play Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich, that will be a difficult challenge.
The concern is that Ten Hag will under increased pressure if United loses against Bayern severely.
