Bali Mumba’s own goal tied the score, and then George Hirst gave Town the lead with a brilliant through pass from Leif Davis.

Marcus Harness sealed the deal when he made it 3-1, but the Pilgrims grabbed a late consolation through Joe Edwards.
The win means Town remain nine points clear of third-placed Leeds United with a game in hand.

He began coaching Town’s U21s following his retirement in 2012, before moving on to Man City’s academy in 2016. In 2019, he also served as a coach for the Wolves U23 team.
He briefly returned to Town in December 2020 to work as a coach’s assistant under Bryan Klug, the team’s then-head of player development and coaching.
The Irishman went on to manage Macclesfield Town, where he spent a difficult seven months in charge, resigning in August 2020 prior to the Silkmen being wound up in the High Court.
Later, in June 2021, he moved to Birmingham City to work as a first-team coach. After that, he was given a four-year contract to lead Lincoln as head coach.
