Here We Go: Fabrizio Romano’s latest update could be good news for Nottingham Forest…

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on the future of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. The 23-year-old hasn’t played for the club since his 30-minute cameo against Forest after he hit out at boss Erik ten Hag.

Sancho was dropped from the starting lineup after making the claim on social media that he was the club’s scapegoat.

Reporter Romano has now verified that the winger’s January departure is highly likely, with Steve Cooper’s team being the rumored destination.

Romano’s update could be good news for Forest

Although Sancho may look to leave Old Trafford in January, the Reds may not be able to afford the fee United could demand.

Although Forest currently has two Premier League loanees—Andrey Santos of Chelsea and Nuno Tavares of Forest—one of them would have to return to their parent club if they were to move on loan.

Chelsea are said to be unhappy with Santos’ game time at the City Ground, with the 19-year-old only starting once since his arrival on loan.

Although unlikely, a January transfer is not completely out of the question given Sancho’s relationship with Reds manager Cooper.

An expensive deal for Sancho

A troubled United played heading to the City Ground isn’t unheard of, with Jesse Lingard also making the move last summer.

Although it seems improbable that Sancho would sign a contract with United manager Erik ten Hag, he could prove to be a fantastic option should Forest decide to pursue the 23-year-old.
