Among the top scorers in the Premier League for the 2023–2024 season, Erling Haaland is the one to beat.

The Golden Boot was won by Manchester City striker Haaland during his incredible first season in the Premier League. He set a record with 36 goals in his first season of play.

Even if Salah and Liverpool didn’t play at their best last season, he still scored 30 goals overall and 19 in the Premier League.

In each of his six Premier League seasons with Liverpool, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah has netted at least 19 goals.

Pre-season betting odds indicated that Darwin Nunez, another attacker for the Reds, was a serious contender. Nunez only managed nine goals in the previous year, but he showed he could find good scoring situations.

Harry Kane’s situation was unclear in 2023–2024. Despite playing for a subpar Tottenham squad the previous season, the striker scored an incredible 30 goals, making him a formidable challenger to Haaland. However, his move to Bayern Munich improved the prospects of the other best attackers in the Premier League.

With 17 goals in the Premier League last time out, Marcus Rashford led Manchester United in goal scoring. This time, he hopes to record 20 goals.

Candidates included former Golden Boot winner Son Heung-min, Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson of Newcastle, Gabriel Jesus, an Arsenal attacker, and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.

Premier League top scorers for 2023–2024

 

Despite losing ground, Erling Haaland is still the leading scorer in the Premier League for the 2023–2024 season.

With eight Premier League goals from eight games, Manchester City attacker Haaland is leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Haaland has a two-goal advantage over his nearest rivals, Son Heung-min and Alexander Isak.

Son’s goal in Tottenham’s dramatic 2-1 victory against Liverpool on Matchday 7 closed the gap. Haaland was scoreless as Man City unexpectedly fell to Wolves 2-1.

Son was not on the scoresheet in Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Luton on Saturday, but Haaland was unable to widen his lead in the crucial Sunday match between Arsenal and Man City, as the Gunners prevailed 1-0 thanks to a late deflection goal from Gabriel Martinelli.

Isak’s two goals in Newcastle’s exciting 2-2 draw against West Ham put him and Son on six goals in a tie for second place, making Haaland under further pressure. This was one of the biggest shifts to the scoring rankings this weekend.

Leading scorer in the Premier League, Haaland, has already tallied three goals as Man City defeated Fulham 5-1 in September.

His most recent goal in the MD6 victory over Nottingham Forest extended his impressive run of form and gave Pep Guardiola’s team six wins out of a possible six. However, that streak has been abruptly ended with back-to-back EPL losses to Wolves and Haaland, with the striker failing to score in each contest.

With five goals, Jarrod Bowen is included in the scoring charts after helping West Ham get off to a quick start in the season.

Odsonne Edouard, a striker for Crystal Palace, tied the score at four goals with his goal versus Villa on Matchday 5.

The captain of Arsenal, Martin Odegaard, has three goals, his most recent coming in a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth. Meanwhile, the team’s top scorer, Bukayo Saka, has four goals after his most recent effort.

Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi has scored goals in their matches against Manchester United, Sheffield United, and Arsenal.

Haaland has been a familiar face at the top of the goal rankings thanks to his excellent start; but, after two Man City games without a goal, rivals Isak, Son, and Salah are now leading the scoring.

Golden Boot of the Premier League: Previous Winners

In the Premier League, only four players have scored the most goals three or more times.

Three times with Newcastle and twice with Blackburn Rovers, Alan Shearer took home the Golden Boot; Harry Kane’s victory in 2020–21 was his third.

Due to his performance in the 2021–2022 season, Mohamed Salah became one of the three-time winners.

The record is held by Thierry Henry, who has been crowned Arsenal’s best scorer in the Premier League four times.

Among the most well-known winners of the title are Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez, who scored 31 goals in the 2007–08 and 2013–14 seasons, respectively.
