Fred Onyedinma has joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan, according to Luton Town.
Since arriving to Kenilworth Road in May 2021, the 26-year-old has made 52 appearances for the Hatters, helping Town achieve Premier League promotion last season.
Onyedinma has three goals and two assists in two seasons for the Hatters, including a goal and two assists in his debut against Peterborough United.
Last season, Rotherham finished 19th in the Championship, and we recently recruited Chieo Ogbene from the Millers earlier this summer.
Yesterday, as I had hoped, proved to be productive on the transfer market front for Luton Town.
As well as welcoming Ryan Giles, a transfer we covered yesterday afternoon – uton-town-announce-sixth-signing-of-the-summer – the Hatters bade a temporary farewell to Fred Onyedimna.
As confirmed by the BBC
in the face of stiff competition for places in Rob Edwards Premier League squad, Fred has been allowed to drop back into the EFL Championship, to spend the season, on-loan, with Rotherham United.
Last season, Fred made 21 appearances for Luton Town as they grabbed the ultimate prize, including the last few minutes in the memorable EFL Championship Play-Off Final against Coventry, at Wembley.
