BREAKING NEWS: Rams Activate Key RB For Cardinals Game
The Los Angeles Rams ended a three-game losing streak in Week 11 by coming back to defeat the Seattle Seahawks and win both games in their regular-season series against their NFC West rivals.
The defense, which got to Geno Smith and severely hampered his throwing game, was the reason the Rams prevailed.
When healthy, Los Angeles has been a tenacious team, and they should be confident heading into Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams already have a win over the Cardinals under their belt, having defeated them in October thanks to a strong offensive performance.
Kyren Williams’ work on the ground, where he gashed Arizona’s defense for 158 yards and one touchdown, was a big part of that victory.
Williams has been on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, but he will be activated in time for the Cardinals’ Week 12 game, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
This was the expectation all along, as head coach Sean McVay stated that Williams had no setbacks and would likely be activated from injured reserve as soon as he was eligible.
L.A. used a split backfield of Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman in Williams’ absence, but the former fifth-round pick is expected to start and handle the majority of the carries again.
However, as he recovers from a serious ankle injury, McVay may choose to give Williams more rest as he gets back into game shape.
