The manager of Scotland, Steve Clarke, is ‘tactically and organizationally’ better than the managers of Liverpool and Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp and Erik ten Hag, according to former Rangers striker Kris Boyd.

Scotland defeated Cyprus on Friday night to win their fifth consecutive Euro 2024 qualifying match.

Scotland under Clarke is now in first place in Group A after receiving 15 out of a possible 15. Boyd, a former player for the 60-year-old manager of Kilmarnock, made a significant allegation about the man who was greatly praised.

Boyd’s column

Boyd praised the manager in his Scottish Sun column, even claiming that in some ways he was superior to Klopp and Ten Hag.

In his column, Boyd stated: “There are Scotland players who work for club managers who are thought to be the greatest in the business. Top players include Jurgen Klopp, Unai Emery, Erik Ten Hag, Roberto de Zerbi, Brendan Rodgers, and Erik Ten Hag.

However, I’m confident that if you ask John McGinn, Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Callum McGregor, or Andy Robertson, they will all agree that Steve Clarke is on par with any of them.

He may even be superior in terms of tactics and organizational skills, I’m ready to wager.

The fact that Walter Smith was the best man-manager I’ve ever played for has never been a secret to me. Clarke, though, is on a whole different level when it comes to teaching and working directly with players on the field.

Only top individuals are hired by Newcastle, Liverpool, and Chelsea. When you stop to think about it, it is very amazing how Kilmarnock was able to acquire someone of his caliber.

Now that Scotland is utilizing his knowledge, they are absolutely soaring.
