With Jarrod Bowen signing a new deal with West Ham United that lasts until 2030, Liverpool’s aspirations of replacing Mohamed Salah with him have been severely hampered.
Salah, 31, is still at Liverpool despite persistent rumors that he will depart during the summer transfer window. Saudi Pro League interest is expected to reappear in January.
The Egyptian international is allegedly content at Liverpool, but Saudi Arabia is eager to get the striker since they are still stealing some of the top players in Europe.

Since Salah has just under two years left on his Liverpool contract and Al-Ittihad is willing to make him the most expensive player ever (the previous record holder being Neymar’s €222 million move to PSG), they could feel compelled to sell him while his worth is still high.
If Salah does decide to leave Anfield, Liverpool has identified Bowen as a potential successor, as exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers in August.
According to sources, Jurgen Klopp thinks Bowen would be a great addition to the Liverpool team in the event that Salah leaves.
In eight Premier League outings so far this season, Bowen, 26, has scored five goals and contributed one assist, helping West Ham to sixth place in the standings.
The Englishman, who has four Three Lions appearances to his credit, finished the previous season with 13 goals and eight assists across all competitions.
West Ham has already acknowledged that Bowen has extended his stay at the club, which is disappointing for Liverpool.
Bowen has already signed a new contract that will keep him employed through the year 2030; his previous one was set to expire in 2025.
Because West Ham is unlikely to let him depart for nothing so quickly after securing his future for the next seven years, his transfer value is anticipated to increase.
As a result, Liverpool will probably have to search elsewhere in order to find a potential Salah successor. As previously reported by FootballTransfers, Pedro Neto of Wolves is a possibility, while Arsenal are also considering the Portuguese star.
