Liverpool is now third in the Premier League table after four games, having won three and drawn one.

Jurgen Klopp’s team has already endured difficult tests against Chelsea, Newcastle, and Aston Villa, but they are yet to be defeated.

The club said goodbye to key players over the summer, but they also rebuilt their midfield, and Carragher likes what he’s seen so far from the new-look team.

“I think when we saw the fixture list and you saw Liverpool’s first four fixtures, we’re all the same, we all think, ‘What would we take from them and get to that first international break?'” he told talkSPORT.Jamie Carragher’s opinions and words regarding Mo Salah are bound to surprise you.

“You think to yourself, ‘Well, if you had maybe eight points, seven wouldn’t be the end of the world, a couple of wins and a draw, you might lose one when you play Newcastle away, Chelsea away.'”

“However, coming out with ten points and considering the actual football they played, certainly against Aston Villa, who’ve had some good performances, and also how they won at Newcastle, that’s impressive.”

“It feels like a really good start for Liverpool, and I think it’s just given everyone their energy and buzz back after such a difficult season last year.”

“We all know we’ve had it so good for so long, but you just want to get back to winning most weeks, to feel like you’re on your way somewhere.

It does feel like almost the start of a new team or ‘Klopp 2’ Liverpool fans are calling it.
