Huge Blow: Liverpool suffer another injury setback…

Ryan Gravenberch’s condition has been updated by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp following a scare during Thursday’s Europa League victory over LASK Linz.

On the day of the transfer deadline, Gravenberch completed a £34 million move to Liverpool after finding it difficult to make an impression at Bayern Munich.

The Dutchman started the Europa League match in Austria after making his Premier League debut off the bench in Saturday’s victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

For the first group game, Klopp completely rearranged his lineup, allowing Gravenberch to acclimate in the middle alongside Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott.

Gravenberch made a lasting impression on the game by assisting Luis Diaz in scoring Liverpool’s second goal in the 3-1 triumph.

The Reds recovered from behind to extend their unblemished start to the season to six competitive games with goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah as well.

In the 75th minute of Thursday’s away game, Gravenberch was taken off and Salah came on, raising questions about a possible injury.

When questioned about the midfielder’s performance and fitness level after the game, Klopp downplayed such injury concerns.

“Very good, he told me he had cramp,” Klopp said to TNT Sports. That makes sense; I believe that was the first start in a while.

He performed admirably, and for a while he was the best player on the field, but in the first half, his displeasure increased, and you could see him becoming disoriented as well.

It’s normal; these things happen, but he played as long as he could, and there were some great moments. Despite not knowing much about his colleagues, he set up a good goal for Lucho that appeared to be well-tuned.

Although Gravenberch gave a promising performance on his full Liverpool debut, he is probably going to be relegated to the bench for Sunday’s home game against West Ham United.

Liverpool, who are now in third place, will try to extend their winning streak and win their sixth straight match overall.
