Liverpool stuttered their way to a point on sunday as they scored late to snatch a point against Luton Town.
When Tahit Chong scored late in the game, the Hatters believed they had won, but Luis Diaz’s strike even later made sure the Reds returned to Anfield with a point.

In general, Liverpool had some concerning moments during the game. Darwin Nunez’s incredible miss and their subpar performance by their standards summed up a bad day at work.
Additionally, Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas committed an unnecessary foul late in the game, which Jamie Carragher referred to as a “stupid” error.

Speaking on co-comms for Sky Sports, Carroll expressed his displeasure at Tsimikas for stopping Liverpool’s progress.
“What an idiotic challenge—completely absurd. Perfect for Luton, but what the heck are you doing with the free-kick?,” moaned Carragher.

As Jurgen Klopp tried to close the game, Tsimikas, who had been benched all day, entered the game.
But he didn’t really contribute anything, and this foul essentially summed up his play.
Liverpool need to be better
Luton deserves a great deal of credit for this, but Liverpool needs to perform better.
This weekend has seen a letdown from the teams chasing Man City this season, as neither Liverpool nor Arsenal were able to win.
It will be a huge letdown for Jurgen Klopp to watch his squad give up easy points to one of the league’s lowest teams.
These kinds of results can add up throughout the season, and Liverpool will be disappointed not to have won as they return to Merseyside.
The goal by Luis Diaz was the finest news for Liverpool today. It was a really gloomy day at work, other from that.
