Choudhury went on loan to Watford last season, where he made a total of 37 appearances but couldn’t assist them get promoted from the Championship.

Discussing a contract with Hamza Choudhury in Leicester?

This most recent information indicates that Leicester will now talk to Choudhury about a new contract to lengthen his term at The King Power Stadium.

Numerous clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on the 25-year-old’s status with the Foxes as they consider a possible move for him.

According to reports, the midfielder’s present club is eager to put an end to those rumors by negotiating a new contract that will keep him at the King Power Stadium for the long haul.

Choudhury could leave Leicester on a free transfer next summer if a new contract cannot be reached between the two parties before his current agreement expires at the end of this season.

The midfielder has made a total of five appearances for Leicester under new manager Enzo Maresca after returning to the club at the beginning of current season.

However, his team’s victories away at Burton Albion and Tranmere Rovers in the first two rounds of the Carabao Cup were the only two starts he has made so far this season.

Leicester has had a solid start to the season, and the Foxes are presently third in the Championship table with 12 points from their first five league games.

After the September international break, the Foxes will resume play on Friday night when they travel to St. Mary’s to take on Southampton, another team that was demoted from the Premier League last year.

Would it be appropriate for Leicester to renew Choudhury’s contract?

It would seem logical for Leicester to attempt and get Choudhury a new, long-term contract.

The midfielder has already demonstrated during his career that he is capable of competing at a top level, suggesting that he might still be a valuable asset for the Foxes despite all the players they have already lost this summer as a result of their relegation.

It also means that even if Choudhury were to depart, they could make sure they get paid fairly for his services, which would allow them to put more money into the team.

It appears that the Foxes should be working hard to complete this deal as a result.
