Willy Gnonto makes a ‘awkward’ disclosure about his life at Leeds United.

Willy Gnonto of Leeds United has stated that the weather in England is “a bit sad” compared to his home country of Italy.

Gnonto, an Inter Milan academy graduate, has spent the last year at Elland Road after signing from FC Zurich in Switzerland.

The Italy international submitted a transfer request during the summer transfer window, but the club turned down three offers from Premier League team Everton Shamoon Hafez.

When asked by Sport Mediaset [19 September] what the main difference between living in England and Italy is, Gnonto replied, “Life here is very different, but with the food I was quite lucky because I came with my parents.”

“The weather is always the most difficult to decipher; it’s a little depressing around here.”

“The good news is that the level of football is incredible.” I’ve gone to a number of stadiums, and the atmosphere is wonderful.”

Unfortunately for Gnonto, there isn’t much he can do about the fantastic British weather, which has been particularly dreadful this summer.

Leeds fans will sympathize with the youngster, which was not the case when he attempted to force a move in August.

Gnonto has returned to the fold and knuckled down after it became evident that United would not move on their stance that the player was not for sale.

Gnonto has only scored one goal in four Championship games this season, but he has played an important role in what has been a promising start to the season.

Aside from the weather, the Italian is a football lover and will no doubt be hoping for a return to the Premier League in the near future.

If it is as a Leeds player, the teenager will have found atonement after his antics during the summer transfer window.
