Leeds ‘remain hopeful’ of keeping £41m rated duo this summer

Leeds United are still hopeful of keeping Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams at the club this summer.

That is according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who also claims reports of interest from Feyenoord in a reunion with Sinisterra are wide of the mark.Leeds remain determined to keep hold of Sinisterra despite the events at the weekend which saw him miss the trip to Birmingham City alongside Wilfried Gnonto.

Daniel Farke refused to elaborate beyond the fact Sinisterra was ‘unavailable’ for the game at St. Andrews, sparking rumours across social media that he had also refused to play.

Leeds released a statement on Friday confirming Gnonto would be subject to disciplinary action after ruling himself out of a second consecutive match, though there was no mention of Sinisterra.

Adams, meanwhile, was on the verge of an Elland Road exit last week as he underwent a medical at Chelsea after they agreed to trigger his £20 million release clause.

However, in order to pursue big money moves for both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Chelsea decided to pull the plug and as such, Adams returned back to Leeds.

However, it feels as though Leeds’ hope was short lived with Fabrizio Romano reporting Bournemouth have agreed to meet his £20 million release clause, with Adams keen on the move.

Sinisterra and Adams are the last of Leeds’ big money signings from last summer still at the club, with the former having signed from Feyenoord for around £21 million.

Phil Hay confirmed at the weekend Sinisterra does also have a release clause in his contract, leaving the door open for an exit despite Leeds’ hopes of keeping him.
