Brandon Williams, a left back on loan from Manchester United, has kept up his strong start at Ipswich Town.
The defender, who can also play right-back, will not be a part of United’s first squad in the near future.
In the Championship, he is demonstrating his skills, scoring a fantastic solo goal for Ipswich in a 4-2 victory against Preston.
Williams gained possession of the ball close to the halfway point and attacked Preston’s defense before putting the ball in the corner of the net.
“The second was an incredible goal, and Brandon showed that drive and determination all game,” remarked Ipswich manager and former United first team coach Kieran McKenna.
“Today, we required that.
“[It was] a good performance, and he keeps growing stronger. reestablishing sound practices both on and off the ball as a defender and as a football player.
“He’s getting back towards the levels that I know he’s capable of but I think, more importantly, it’s about pushing him past those levels because he’s young and hopefully he’s got some good years in his career and big moments ahead of him.”
