“Dark horses…” – Bartosz Bialkowski admits wrongdoing with former team Ipswich Town

Ipswich’s strong start to the season hasn’t shocked Bartosz Bialkowski, according to him.

Ipswich Town, who are considered the dark horses in the Championship, will succeed, according to Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski. With seven victories from their first eight games and a victory against Premier League Wolves in the League Cup, Ipswich Town has had an outstanding start to the year. With Ipswich looking strong and Millwall attempting to gain momentum with forthcoming matches, both Ipswich and Millwall have a chance for success this season. Ipswich Town’s outstanding start to the season hasn’t shocked Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski, who says he always believed they might compete for promotion this year

Ipswich enjoy fantastic start to the campaign

Only returning to the Championship this summer, Kieran McKenna’s team has easily adjusted to life in the lower division, winning seven of their first eight games to sit second in the standings.

Additionally, despite making 10 changes to the starting lineup, the Tractor Boys defeated Premier League Wolves in the League Cup during the previous week. They are therefore in a fantastic position as they try to achieve two promotions in a row.

Although the Polish goalkeeper has played more than 150 times for Millwall, he is still second to Ipswich in terms of games played for a single team.

The 36-year-old was undoubtedly at his best while playing at Portman Road, where his stellar performances made him a fan favorite.

That puts Bialkowski in a good position to talk about Ipswich, and he told South London Press that he was aware of McKenna’s team’s strong points.

.

“I predicted that they would be the underdogs when they were promoted. Last year, I watched them play. They could undoubtedly play in the Championship more easily than in League One.

“They are playing extremely fantastic football and scoring goals, so credit to them and their management. I’ve played a few friendly matches against them in the past, but never a legitimate match, so I’m really looking forward to that one. It will be intriguing to see whether they can maintain it during the lengthy season.

Ipswich has returned to the Championship with a bang, and it’s safe to say they no longer qualify as dark horses since they didn’t rise to the top by accident.

Ipswich have proven they can mix it up, and there’s a lot to enjoy about the way they play. Whether they need to grind out a win, as they have done away from home on multiple occasions, or outscore opponents, as has frequently happened at Portman Road, Ipswich have proved they can mix it up.

The victory over Wolves demonstrated the depth of the team, and the Suffolk team is currently riding a wave of confidence that they hope to build upon when they play Huddersfield on Saturday.

Naturally, Millwall is Bialkowski’s primary current focus, and after regaining his position in the starting lineup, he will aim to continue on his recent string of clean sheets.

The Lions have had a difficult season thus far, but they are in a respectable position, lying two points outside the top six, and are aware that there is still much space for development.

Before the international break, with games against Swansea and Hull at home and a trip to Plymouth wedged in between, Gary Rowett will want his team to pick up a few victories and to gather momentum.
