Regretfully, David will no longer play for the Green Bay Packers due to…

With the official start of the permissible tampering period on March 11, NFL teams are already preparing for the 2024 season.

In Titletown, one anticipated move recently failed. On social media, tackle David Bakhtiari declared that he will not be going back to Green Bay in 2024.

Regretfully, Bakhtiari will no longer play for the Green Bay Packers

Bakhtiari wrote a touching letter to Packers supporters, expressing his immense gratitude to the group and fan base.

“I just want to say thank you, Green Bay,” he uttered. I’m grateful for the past eleven years. It’s been an incredible journey. I will never complain, though, because I have always wanted to raise a Lombardi on Lombardi Avenue.”

The 32-year-old continued, saying, “I’m excited for whatever comes next. I just want to say thank you to the supporters worldwide and the city. I would want to thank the entire company. Thank you to the entire coaching staff. Thank you to all of the support staff.

Given that Bakhtiari’s cap hit in 2024 was slated to be $40 million according to Spotrac, this move was anticipated. Due to many knee operations, the Colorado product has only been able to participate in 13 games in the last three seasons.

However, that doesn’t make it any easier to take. Bakhtiari is one of the Packers’ all-time greatest offensive linemen, even though he has recently offended some fans.

Where he ends up is a matter of time, but an early favorite would have to be back with Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets, who are in desperate need of a left tackle.

The Packers must perform flawlessly going into a crucial offseason if they want to increase their chances of winning the division. Green Bay is +220 underdogs to win the NFC North, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Go to FanDuel Sportsbook and get your sign-up bonus if you want to lock in these odds.
