Davante Adams: The reason for Josh Jacobs’ return to the Packers was analyzed due to…

The Packers reportedly wanted to pay Adams the highest salary of any wide receiver in the NFL, so it’s possible that money wasn’t the main reason for the agreement.

Adams’ wish to play with quarterback Derek Carr and be nearer to his family was more important. But after just two seasons, the Raiders in Las Vegas appear to be a very different squad. When the Packers signed former Raiders running back Josh Jacobs this off-season, that continued.

At last, Adams revealed that Jacobs had signed with his old squad.

Davante Adams Announces Josh Jacobs’ Return to the Green Bay Packers, His Previous Team

During his tenure in Las Vegas, Jacobs became a prominent member of the squad and a face of the organization. Even though Davante Adams had only been with the Raiders for two years, he and Jacobs became close very quickly.

The significance of Jacobs to the Raiders has been repeatedly stated by Adams. He even said that the Raiders need Jacobs if they have any chance of winning the Super Bowl.

We’re going to need that person if we really want to have a chance to win the Super Bowl and fulfill all of our elite goals, Adams stated, according to NFL Total Access. “I’m hoping that we can still work things out, but I’m also trying to understand Josh’s perspective and help him along the way.

With Jacobs, the Green Bay Packers have a lot to look forward to.

Jacobs made two Pro Bowls and recorded the third-highest rush total in Raiders history with 5,545 yards. Had he been able to secure a long-term contract in Las Vegas, he could have exceeded the 8,545 rushing yards recorded by Marcus Allen. Jacobs undoubtedly had a significant influence on the locker room, and it will be difficult to replace him.

Josh Jacobs’ early career was marked by limited usage in the passing game by the Raiders. 53 receptions in his first two seasons combined. He has 144 receptions in total over the last three seasons.

That is insufficient, in Jacobs’ opinion, though. He wanted to play a bigger role in the passing game for the Packers, just like Aaron Jones did.
