Lions’ Amik Robertson Calls Green Bay Packers “Pretenders” in Scathing Rant

Detroit Lions cornerback Amik Robertson is a former 2020 fourth round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders out of Louisiana Tech University who has since gone on to become an indispensable player for defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s defense. The Lions gave up 31 points to arch rival Green Bay on Thursday night in the Motor City, but ended up winning 34-31 in a game they also outgained the Packers by nearly 100 yards. In the early hours of Friday morning, Robertson’s innermost thoughts on Coach Matt LaFleur’s Packers were revealed by Detroit reporter Will Burchfield. “They try to be competitive, but you can tell they’re not competitive,” Robertson said. “We the real dawgs. When we go out there, we hunting, we ain’t the hunted. I know the real them.

“Great team, man, but I feel like it’s a lot of pretenders.” The Packers kept pace with the Lions in the run game, notching 99 yards compared to 111 for the Lions. Detroit out-gained Love and Green Bay through the air, compiling 280 yards to 199 for the Pack. The difference in the game was something completely unexpected as Detroit converted four of five fourth downs, including one that led to the game-winning field goal by kicker Jake Bates
