So Sad: Gaint Head Coach Brian Daboll annouced his depature in NFL To….

RB Eric Grey, a rookie, has been assigned to resume practice.

As the New York Giants get ready for their Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, head coach Brian Daboll declared early on Wednesday afternoon that rookie running back Eric Grey has been cleared to resume practice.

Gray, a fifth-round draft choice (172nd overall), has not played since Week 7 because of a calf injury that landed him on injured reserve. Grey has only been utilised as a return specialist thus far, although in seven games, he has 13 rushing attempts for 27 yards, the most of which were at Miami in Week 5.

Grey spent his first two years of college at Tennessee before moving to Oklahoma to play his final two seasons. He played in 47 career games and made 23 starts between the schools, totaling 549 carries for 3,089 yards (5.6 per carry) and 21 touchdowns. He also registered 99 receptions for 827 yards (8.4 yards per catch) and five scores. In 2022, he produced the ninth-best single-season rushing total in Oklahoma history (1,366 yards).
