Iwobi likened his former Everton teammate to Usain Bolt in a post on Instagram.
Iwobi played alongside Godfrey for four years at Goodison Park before leaving for Fulham in the summer.
The defender is no longer in the starting lineup for Merseyside and has only played once in the Premier League this year, but he still updates his Instagram page with pictures of himself working out hard.
During the international break, Iwobi shared a photo of himself running on the training field, and he couldn’t resist leaving a witty remark on his post.
The Nigerian wrote “Gwarn Usain,” jokingly equating himself with Bolt, whose record for the 100 meters still stands at 9.58 seconds. Godfrey won’t be smashing that anytime soon, I believe.
