Kelechi Iheanacho scored 10 goals for Leicester City during their ill-fated Premier League campaign, which ended in relegation.
Premier League club According to Soccernet.ng, Everton are interested in signing Super Eagles and Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Foxes’ 26-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium since the start of the transfer window.
Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City in the summer of 2017 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter. Despite starting only 11 times in 28 league matches, he was involved in 10 goals for Leicester City last season.
According to bbc.com, Everton are interested in the Nigerian international, who is highly rated by Toffees manager Sean Dyche. The Merseysiders are likely to make their first offer to Leicester City soon after losing out on long-term target El Bilal Toure, who chose to join Serie A club Atalanta from Almeria.
The club’s need for a new striker was clear last season, when they scored 34 goals in 38 Premier League games, and they have selected the Super Eagles as a reinforcement for their frontline ahead of the new season.
Securing a move to Goodison Park will benefit Iheanacho since it will keep him out of the English Championship with Leicester City next season.
