So embarising: The reason Tony Bellew explodes at Premier League live after Everton verdict

The former world boxing champion and ardent Everton supporter questioned how the team could have lost more points for breaking the rules than other teams did for entering administration for just one infraction.

Additionally, he said that Everton is not given the same treatment as Manchester City and Chelsea since the Premier League is solely focused on the major six teams.

Bellew asked on TalkSPORT, “Can I just get this off my chest?” in real time.[February 7, 09:41] “How is it possible to receive 10 points for the charge yet lose nine points for entering administration? It’s just not logical.

“Your club has failed miserably in every way. Upon entering administration, one is awarded nine points; nevertheless, we have accumulated ten points due to our slight overspending.

“City and Chelsea have spent nearly six billion pounds, and these guys are laughing all the way to the bank. Once more, the establishment is a complete shame since it exclusively seeks to punish scousers. An investigation into the Premier League is necessary.

“They are maintaining the gap between the rich and the poor; the Premier League was designed for six teams, and as time goes on, we realize that Everton is no longer one of those six teams. It’s completely shameful.

In some ways, Bellew is correct about Everton.

Bellew is correct when she points out that it is absurd to penalize the club more for a single rule violation than any other club that enters administration due to gross mismanagement and an inability to maintain the organization.

But he needs to understand that the cases that are still pending are not all the same. The investigations into Chelsea and Manchester City are ongoing, and as their cases are more complicated than Everton’s, it will naturally take longer to penalize them than it did for Everton.

The hearing for the appeal procedure has already taken place, and an update is scheduled for mid-February. It is hoped that the sentence will be lowered because it was excessive in the first place.

If it is determined that City, Chelsea, and Nottingham Forest are indeed at fault for their violations, the penalties they receive will need to match the ones that Everton received. Now would be the time to provide this argument if that were not the case.
