the match against Burnley might be decisive because Arnaut Danjuma is already…

Despite turning down the Blues in January in favor of Tottenham, 26-year-old Danjuma joined the team on loan from Villarreal in the summer, but he has not been able to establish himself as a mainstay at Goodison Park.
Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell must have really wanted Danjuma to go back in for him after he embarrassed the club in January by opting to join Spurs on loan instead.

But so far, he’s only proven that faith to be misplaced.

Danjuma has played 10 times in all competitions for Everton this season, scoring two goals in the process.

However, he’s only started three times in the Premier League, grabbing his only league goal in one of them when he netted in a 2-2 draw ay Sheffield United in September.

Danjuma has not started any of Everton’s last five Premier League games, despite the team winning three of them. In fact, the Netherlands international didn’t play a minute of the last two wins versus Bournemouth and West Ham.

In Everton’s last two defeats to Luton and Liverpool, he did make an appearance off the bench.

Given that Everton is performing better without Danjuma and that he is only on loan, there appears to be a chance that Dyche will bench the winger.

Since Danjuma is not a long-term option at Goodison and there is no buyout clause in the loan agreement with Villarreal [The Athletic], the Blues will not consider him to be a player they must choose over others.

On Wednesday, November 1st, the Toffees take on Burnley in the Carabao Cup, and we anticipate Danjuma to start.

In the second round, he started and scored against Doncaster; in the final round, he played 72 minutes in the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Against Burnley, it might be make-or-break for him before he fades into obscurity and maybe considers looking to get out of his loan in January.
