Live : Tim Sherwood predicts Everton’s relegation.

Despite losing four of their first five games, Tim Sherwood thinks Sean Dyche will help Everton avoid relegation this season.

The Toffees, who have only earned one point so far this season, are currently in the relegation zone despite narrowly avoiding the drop the previous two seasons. On Saturday, they will take on Brentford.

However, during an appearance on Sky Sports Soccer on Saturday (23 September, 13:31), former Tottenham manager Sherwood said that while he believes Everton will survive “by default” due to other clubs being worse, Sean Dyche would “need some help in January” to do this.

He said, “I think they’ll be OK. “I believe they’ll be fine by default because Sheffield United and Luton will be demoted,”

Then they are possibly fighting with Wolves, Burnley, Bournemouth, Forest, and Burnley. They will play two up front when they face those teams because, in my opinion, they are capable of being better than any of them. If Calvert-Lewin maintains himself in shape, he will partner with Beto. I believe that increases their chances. Get some width and put the ball in the box while McNeil is still fit.

“I believe they are present within and around them [the Forest]. I believe Forest have done fantastically, and right now they’re far superior than them, but when it counts, we’ve got a manager who is accustomed to remaining in the Premier League and who is aware of the requirements, and I believe they will succeed thanks to Sean Dyche.

Depending on what other clubs do in January, he may need some assistance. Wolves, Bournemouth, and most definitely Burnley will be in and around the relegation zone, with Forest likely being the outsider.

There seems to be a lot of belief in the football community that Sean Dyche will not be relegated, but Everton cannot rely on that.

Everton

He was well on his way to failing at Burnley when he was fired, and a significant reversal under the new manager there ultimately wasn’t even enough to rescue them.

We just can’t afford to have blind confidence in the manager, and while Sean Dyche is undoubtedly a better choice for your dugout than Frank Lampard at the moment, there’s only so long that can be tolerated.

This season, relegation is a very real possibility, so if Dyche is unable to find a way to improve the situation and get the squad scoring more goals while giving up less, we may need to find someone else who can.

He deserves time to make amends and change.
