Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff put several top Arsenal players through their paces ahead of the Premier League match against Everton at the club’s London Colney training complex.

As the club prepares to restart Premier League action, Arsenal has posted photos from Wednesday’s training session.

The Gunners face Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, but manager Mikel Arteta will not be reunited with the majority of his international talents until the following day, including Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

he workout did, however, include Jakub Kiwior, who had completed his international responsibilities with Poland earlier in the week. Ben White, Jorginho, Emile Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira, and Reiss Nelson were also present despite not being selected by their respective countries.

Cedric Soares was sighted in a training session for the first time since August 15 after being included to Arsenal’s 25-man List A squad for this season’s Champions League, as he looks set to be reintegrated after failing to secure a transfer during the summer transfer window.

The club has disclosed that Mohamed Elneny is nearing the conclusion of his lengthy injury layoff, which is a significant boost for the midfielder. Egypt’s international has not appeared since scoring in the FA Cup third-round win over Oxford United back in January as he underwent knee surgery shortly after.

With 15 senior players selected for international service, Arteta brought in numerous academy players to help supplement the practice in London Colney, and Miguel Azeez was among those included.

The midfielder spent the first half of last season on loan with UD Ibiza in Spain’s second division, but after struggling to hold down a regular place in the side, he returned to England to finish the season with Wigan Athletic, despite only making two appearances for the then-Championship side.

Taylor Foran and Ovie Ejeheri, both loanees from last season, were also present for the session, while Jimi Gower, who signed his first professional contract with the club earlier this summer, was called up alongside defender Zane Monlouis and highly-rated duo Charles Sagoe JR and Bradley Ibrahim.

In addition, Khayon Edwards was back in first-team training. Injury interrupted the striker’s progress after he was named on Arteta’s substitutes bench for the Europa League game against FK Bodo/Glimt last season. Fully fit now, having scored against Reading U23s last time out, the teenager will have been expecting to impress Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on his 20th birthday.
