Everton are interested in Patson Daka as Sean Dyche considers a raid on Leicester City.

That is according to Alan Nixon of The Sun, who reports that Dyche believes Daka’s pace is ideal for Everton.

The Toffees are hoping that Leicester would sell Daka now that they have been relegated to the Championship.

Daka has been in and out of the club since signing from Red Bull Salzburg two years ago, and Everton are eager to grant him a way out.

Daka was on the bench for Leicester City’s match against Coventry City on Sunday but did not play.

Sky Sports confirms Nixon’s comments, claiming that Everton are interested in signing Data this summer.

Daka cost the Foxes £23 million in 2021 after scoring 68 goals in 125 games for Red Bull Salzburg.

However, the Zambian has struggled to repeat that form for Leicester, netting only 15 goals in 74 games.

Patson Daka could finally head to Merseyside with Everton

Daka was a wanted man at Red Bull Salzburg after replacing Erling Haaland as the club’s top striker.

Leicester’s signing of Daka appeared to be a big triumph because Liverpool appeared to be interested in the striker.

Former Red Bull players are frequently signed by the Reds, and Daka appeared to be a top target for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Fabrizio Romano then claimed that Liverpool were interested in signing Daka in the summer of 2021, just weeks before he joined Leicester.

However, according to Romano, the agreement ‘collapsed’ because Liverpool were unable to sell Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi in early June.

As a result, Daka was unable to join Liverpool, and the Zambian instead joined Leicester.

The 24-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance, but he has yet to live up to his billing.

Everton may now bring him to Merseyside in the hope of getting the most out of the quick striker.
