Everton could be in line to make a shock move for Sheffield United forward Daniel Jebbison, according to Alan Nixon.
The newspaper journalist reported on his Patreon on 6 August that the Blades could be tempted to cash in on the 19-year-old as he is entering the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane.
He said Sean Dyche wants to add “extra threat” up front and is looking to move Demarai Gray on to Fulham to bring in more money to add further additions to the Toffees squad.
Uninspiring
This isn’t going to be a move that really gets Everton fans out of their seats as the club look to strengthen their forwards options, having being lacking in that department over the past couple of seasons.
While Jebbison looked like a promising talent when he, rather ironically, scored his first professional goal at Goodison Park for Sheffield United in 2021, he hasn’t really pulled up any trees since then.
The Canada-born forward scored twice in 19 appearances for the Blades last season and has only added two goals in 10 games for England at youth level.
While he is still only young and has a lot of time to improve, this isn’t a potential signing Dyche should be looking at to beef up his attacking options next season, but he could still be one for the future.
Nixon said the Yorkshire club would be looking for a decent fee for Jebbison and may be open to a possible exchange if they are offered the right players, so it will be interesting to see if the Blues do decide to put a proposal forward to sign him.
