Everton ‘looked like Real Madrid’ despite…..

Joe Bernstein claimed that due to Bournemouth’s lack of involvement in the game, Everton appeared to be Real Madrid against Bournemouth.

A Daily Mail reporter stated on October 7 that while the Toffees’ Goodison Park performance was impressive regardless of the opposition, the Cherries’ lackluster effort elevated Sean Dyche to remarkable status.

With their first win at home this year, Everton moved three points clear of the bottom-half of the table with a 3-0 triumph.

Regardless of the competition, Everton were above average, according to Bernstein. They resembled Real Madrid because Bournemouth played an unsettlingly passive game.

Sean Dyche’s team scored three goals and had the opportunity to score six more after going an entire season without scoring more than once at Goodison.

Compliment?

The performance Everton put on against the Cherries was possibly their best so far this season. As Dyche eventually secured his first three points in front of the home crowd, it was without a doubt their best home performance of the new season.

Even though Bournemouth had somewhat more possession than Everton, the Toffees outshot the visitors 25 to 11, according to Sky Sports. However, Everton utilised their possession much more wisely whereas the majority of the Cherries’ backline appeared to be three seconds late.

Throughout the game, Dyche’s team applied intense pressure to Bournemouth, and it paid off when James Garner’s challenge in the attacking third gave him a clear shot at goal to give his team the lead.

Abdoulaye Doucoure’s finish proved to be a beautiful team goal, with plenty of possibilities running into the box despite having control of the game. Jack Harrison’s amazing strike from beyond the box would not have looked out of place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Although Dyche was undoubtedly aided by a lackluster Bournemouth effort and his team is still a long way from Real Madrid, this performance provided supporters even another cause to be more upbeat about the future.
