DYCHE ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGER OF EVERTON

Sean Dyche has been appointed as the next Men’s Senior Team Manager of Everton Football Club.

In accordance with a two-and-a-half-year contract extension that runs through June 2025, Dyche will take the helm for the first time on Saturday, February 4th, when the Blues play Arsenal in the Premier League at Goodison Park.

One of the most reputable and seasoned managers in the Premier League, Dyche will have the backing of former Nottingham Forest winger Ian Woan as his assistant manager, former England player Steve Stone as first-team coach, and Mark Howard, who will assist with sports science. Each of the three employees has previously collaborated with Dyche at Burnley.

“It’s an honour to become Everton manager,” Dyche remarked. I’m excited to work with my team to assist this fantastic club get back on track.

“I am aware of Everton’s ardent supporters and their deep love for the team. We’re prepared to get to work and fulfil their requests. That begins with sweat on the jersey, hard work, and returning to some of the fundamental values that Everton Football Club has always upheld.

“We wish to restore a positive attitude. We require everyone to be on the same page, the fans, and togetherness. As players and staff, we have to start with that.

“We want to have a squad that works hard, battles and takes pride in the badge.” The fans’ passion allows for a rapid growth of the relationship with them.

“This team has several great members. However, we must bring them to life. That is my staff’s and my responsibility.

“Going forward, we want to restructure this club in our own unique manner while still making it competitive. The job at hand is to ensure that we’re developing players’ organisation, both tactically and technically, and giving them the freedom to play. It’s great to see a team play with delight, but we also need to win.

Following nearly two decades as a center-back, Dyche started his coaching career with Watford. He rose from the club’s under-18 squad to manager of the senior side, and in his first season, he led the Hornets to their highest league place in four years.

Dyche established himself as a premier league manager during his nearly ten years at Burnley. He developed a fiercely competitive and dynamic team that qualified for the Europa League and won promotion from the Championship in a season that broke all previous records in 2013–14. Since then, the team has routinely challenged the best teams in the Premier League, with a seventh-place finish in 2017–18 being the high point.

Sean swiftly persuaded me that he had all the necessary qualities to succeed as an Everton manager and that he has the potential to motivate our supporters, according to Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright, after Kevin and I had some quality time with him over the previous several days. And when Farhad met him, he experienced the same thing.
