Alex Iwobi has talked about his choice to leave Everton, a Premier League team, in the summer.
On the last day of the transfer window, Iwobi went from Everton to Fulham.
It was surprising that Everton let the Nigerian international, who was crowned the team’s best player last season, to go.
The adaptable winger’s services cost Fulham £20 million.
Iwobi acknowledged that his choice to quit the team was not an easy one.
Choosing to leave wasn’t an easy decision. I had a great time there. especially during the past few years. He said to the Athletic, “I felt like they warmed up to me.
At the same time, I felt that I needed a fresh challenge, and Fulham is providing me with the venue to achieve so.
There were many discussions spoken in private; there are certain things I cannot discuss, but I believe the club and I both agreed that leaving was the wisest course of action. I wish them luck since I respect them greatly and we parted ways amicably.
