Everton marked the death of Bill Kenwright with a series of moving tributes at the club’s first home game since he passed away.
The club chairman, who was born in Liverpool and initially joined the board of his childhood club in 1989, passed away last week at the age of 78. The team’s homecoming to Goodison Park was a moving chance to honor him.
Prior to the Carabao Cup fourth round match against Burnley, Caroline Kenwright, her daughter Lucy, and Jenny Seagrove, the partner of Blues legend Joe Royle, laid flower wreaths in the center circle.
