A new Indian consortium have emerged as takeover candidates for Everton.
The Sun says the group are counting on 777 Partners’ offer falling through.
777 have an agreement with owner Farhad Moshiri, but the deal is stalling over the ‘fit and proper’ test and also outstanding funds owed to third parties.
Should the deal collapse, the Indian team are on standby and have made contact with the club to make their interest known.
The Indian group include a wealthy businessman who has been after Premier League clubs in the past.
